Craig Lost 50kg After His Back Finally Gave Out

My name is Craig, I’m 35 and I’ve lost 50kg with The Man Shake!

My weight loss journey started after experiencing a slipped disc in my back on Christmas Day 2023.
I was 150kg+ with no intention of changing anything, I was eating whatever I wanted and doing zero to no exercise so looking back it’s no surprise my back gave out. 
Along with this injury came multiple chiropractor appointments $$$$ (and opioid medication) where I was told if I did not lose weight then there was not much the chiropractor could do for me and I’d be stuck just treating symptoms.

My main concern with dieting was how fussy I was with trying new food.
My wife had been trying for years to get me to “healthy up my diet” but I was reluctant. I had never been taught good eating habits. I needed something easy to follow that wasn’t too complicated or made me step out of my comfort zone at the beginning.
The Man Shake directions were clear and easily fit into any busy adult's lifestyle.

I started by having one Shake in the morning on the way to work, then having lunch and dinner, as well as fruit for snacks. I also started regular light walks after work. 
After realising the weight was slowly coming off, I changed to having a Shake morning and night, while having a normal healthier lunch compared to what I was having before - no more stops at the petrol station for sausage rolls… or two. 
Due to my fussiness with flavours, I was only having the Chocolate flavoured shake with no intention of changing. I love this flavour and find it to be just like a regular chocolate thick shake.

I’ve now lost 50kg in just under a year! I haven’t been this light since my early 20s and I’ve forgotten how great it feels!

My routine is mostly the same. I still have a Chocolate shake every morning and most evenings but occasionally I will have a normal healthy dinner if I’ve done more vigorous exercise that day. Snacks are mostly fruit or cruskets - something I never thought I’d enjoy.
I am considering getting back into my old cricket team. To think 12 months ago I couldn’t have thought of anything worse. I’m now always thinking of ways I can move my body every day!  

This journey has immensely changed my life.
My back issues have almost completely ceased, and I only require occasional chiropractor visits. My reliance on pain medication for my back is gone! 
Along with my back injury, my son was my main motivation to continue this journey, I’ve noticed how much he loves that I can run around after him and we get a trip to the playground on our walks every day! 
Soon I will be a Dad of two and I’m excited to represent what a healthy lifestyle looks like for our kids! My wife is keen to start The Lady Shake after having our second baby and the postpartum period has passed!

Thanks to The Man Shake, I am a changed man and I strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of starting this journey to just do it and don’t look back! Consistency is key and if I can do it anyone can!
