Hey, my name’s Joshua, and I’ve lost 24 kilos so far with The Man Shake.
I had been looking into trying The Man Shake for a long time, and finally decided to begin my journey on the 1st of January 2023 after weighing in at 123.5kgs.
After months of suffering from depression, my eating got well out of hand, and I gained 20kgs in almost a year. I was struggling to work as a tradie, and my health was making the things that I once loved really hard, like hiking and walking. My snoring had become worse, and breathing was hard even after doing small walks.
The birth of my first child made me realise that I needed to do something now. So, I decided enough was enough. I began The Man Shake in January, and I haven’t looked back.
My favourite combo is one scoop of chocolate, and one scoop of honeycomb; so, when I’m having a shake it’s almost always this combination. As my workday starts at 6am as a tradie, my day-to-day look like this:
5am – breakfast, Man Shake 9am – morning tea, usually a banana and an apple 12pm – lunch, usually chicken and rice 3pm – afternoon tea, a boiled egg and yoghurt 6pm – dinner, Man Shake
Within the first few weeks I had dropped a few kilograms and 5 months later, here I am – I'm now 98.5kgs, and have lost a total of 24.7kgs. Throughout my whole journey the only training I’ve done is walking most days – as well as hands on work on job sites.
I’ve since been able to do more than small walks, I’m back into hiking mountains and currently training for a marathon at the end of the year! Which is a big goal, but I’m confident that I can achieve it and make my new daughter and partner proud.
Once I start weighing into the low 90s, my plan is to just have one shake a day, as I genuinely love the flavour, and it’s just so convenient too. It’s easy to just shake on the go and have on the way to work.
I couldn’t be happier with my results so far, but I’ve still got a few more kilos to go.
My advice for anyone thinking on edge about to try it or not, is to just try it. What’s the worst that could happen? Honestly, I started off as a sceptic, but now there’s no denying the results that have happened for my body and wellbeing. I couldn’t be happier with The Man Shake.
